Use the Safety Checklist and Safety Guidance
Last Updated 3 years ago

The Safety Checklists and Safety Guidance are an innovative way to cover all Bright Futures safety areas and will be a great complement to “tele-well child” visits. This complete safety review (done by the parent outside of visit time) and automated online guidance (individualized “handouts” without paper) will save clinicians valuable time.

Developed by a pediatrician and pediatric nurse practitioners, this new safety checklist screening tool is now available to CHADIS practices. The tool utilizes an innovative paradigm for comprehensive safety assessment and associated safety guidance for the Prenatal through 9-month visits to provide parents the information to create safe environments for their families. They have been designed to include all safety recommendations made in the AAP's Bright Futures Guidelines, 4th edition, 2017 with evidence-based updates through January 2020.

This Checklist is best done at home as it may take 15 minutes to complete.
