Teen OP Portal Accounts (OP Integrated Clients)
Last Updated about a month ago

The ideal ‘Gold Standard’ workflow for adolescents to complete questionnaires is through their own OP portal account. This method ensures that the teen’s responses are kept confidential and the integration works as intended.

Workflow:

  1. Add self-report questionnaires to your templates in OP.

  2. Create an OP portal account using the teen’s email address or phone number, and choose the relationship ‘Self.’

  3. Teen receives notification to complete questionnaires through their portal.

  4. Teen may also complete questionnaires in the office if needed - through their portal or the CHADIS waiting room workflow, outlined in Waiting Room Workflow.

  5. Results flow directly into the patient’s tab in OP.

Considerations:

  • Consider setting a policy in the office that all teens must have their own portal account at a specific age

  • Have the front desk collect teen email addresses and phone numbers

  • Use suggested verbiage from CHADIS to inform parents of the importance of allowing teens privacy for their questionnaires
