Frequently Asked Question
If the respondent does not complete their questionnaires before the appointment, CHADIS questionnaires can be completed in the office on a phone or tablet by using the CHADIS ‘Waiting Room Workflow’. The CHADIS Waiting Room Workflow allows the respondent to access CHADIS questionnaires quickly without typing in their username or password. Respondents must exist in CHADIS to use the waiting room workflow. If they are not already in CHADIS, add the respondent to CHADIS and then use one of the waiting room options below.
Device Switch generates a QR code that can be scanned with a mobile phone or tablet camera, allowing immediate login access to the respondent.
A common option is for staff to scan the QR code on the computer using a tablet for the office, and provide the tablet to the respondent. Respondents can also scan the QR code with their own mobile phone.
1. Click the CHADIS button in Athena.
2. Scroll down to ‘Respondents’ and click on the respondent with incomplete questionnaires (the number of incomplete questionnaires appears in green to the left of the respondent name). *If the respondent does not exist, click the plus sign in the top right corner to add them to CHADIS first, then continue on to step 3.
3. Click on ‘Device Switch’ under the ‘Waiting Room’ section.
4. This QR code can be scanned using the camera on a mobile phone or tablet for respondent direct access into CHADIS. No username or password is required. This QR code expires in 15 minutes for security reasons. However, once it has been scanned and the respondent has entered CHADIS, they will have as much time as they need to complete the questionnaire. A common option is for staff to scan the computer using a tablet for the office, and provide the tablet to the respondent.
